# Social connections

> Connect team-owned accounts through official provider OAuth.

export const Screenshot = ({light, dark, alt, caption, width, height, sizes, portrait = false}) => <figure className={portrait ? "oss-doc-screenshot oss-doc-screenshot-portrait" : "oss-doc-screenshot"}>
    <div className="oss-product-light">
      <img src={light} alt={alt} width={width} height={height} sizes={sizes} loading="lazy" />
    </div>
    <div className="oss-product-dark">
      <img src={dark || light} alt={alt} width={width} height={height} sizes={sizes} loading="lazy" />
    </div>
    {caption ? <figcaption>{caption}</figcaption> : null}
  </figure>;

An administrator opens **Connections** and chooses **Add connection**. Only providers fully configured by the operator appear. Choose the provider, continue to its sign-in page and approve the requested posting access.

Accounts belong to the team. You can connect several accounts from the same provider. Connecting the same provider account again refreshes that connection instead of creating a duplicate.

Members can select connected accounts when composing. Viewers can inspect accounts and posts. Provider credentials are encrypted at rest and never returned to the browser, REST client or MCP client.

If a connection needs reconnection, an administrator completes the provider authorization again. Disconnecting prevents future use of that connection; it does not delete posts already published on the provider. Drafts may retain a disconnected account for later editing, but publishing validation prevents delivery through it.

See [provider application setup](/providers) for callback URLs, permissions and signing-key requirements. Local preview accounts are demonstration data and cannot publish to real providers.
