# Scheduled posts

> Schedule, edit and cancel posts before delivery begins.

export const Screenshot = ({light, dark, alt, caption, width, height, sizes, portrait = false}) => <figure className={portrait ? "oss-doc-screenshot oss-doc-screenshot-portrait" : "oss-doc-screenshot"}>
    <div className="oss-product-light">
      <img src={light} alt={alt} width={width} height={height} sizes={sizes} loading="lazy" />
    </div>
    <div className="oss-product-dark">
      <img src={dark || light} alt={alt} width={width} height={height} sizes={sizes} loading="lazy" />
    </div>
    {caption ? <figcaption>{caption}</figcaption> : null}
  </figure>;

Open the publishing menu and choose **Schedule**. Select a future date and time, review it in your account's time zone, then confirm. PostgreSQL stores the requested time and the worker claims due deliveries.

**Scheduled Posts** lists delivery sets, not individual account deliveries. The sidebar count includes sets with scheduled, preparing or publishing deliveries. The table shows selected accounts, **Posted by**, relative and absolute schedule times, status and available actions.

Click the post title or **Edit** to reopen its editor. Saving uses a version check, so a stale browser cannot overwrite another person's changes. Once a delivery begins, content and schedule edits are no longer allowed. **Cancel** cancels deliveries that have not started; it does not remove a published post from a social network.

The worker must be running for scheduled posts and video preparation. An API and UI that pass health checks do not establish that the worker is running. See [operations](/operations) if a schedule does not advance.
